Hey! Today's Dino Dossier post will be the newly revealed creature, Achatina! As you can see, Achatina is a giant snail, and it has some cool abilities!

Wild
Found mostly in marshes and jungles, Achatina limusegnis is a very slow, very non-threatening land mollusc. It might be the safest creature on the island to hunt and while it only provides a small amount of Meat and Chitin, an easy meal is always good on the island.
Domesticated
There is a very disgusting, but useful, fact about Achatina that causes tribes to seek to tame them: its secretions are chemically similar to the "Cementing Paste" used by many tribes for building materials. Tamed Achatina naturally build up this slime over time, which can then be collected at the tribe's convenience.
Others
Unlike nearly every other creature on the island, Achatina does not defecate normally. Instead, it secretes a thick, sticky substance. Achatina leaves trails of this slime, but the trails are so thin that they crumble to dust quickly.

From its description in the dossier, I would say that Achatina is not only peaceful, but does not even retaliate if attacked.
Resources From Harvesting
Achatina provides Raw Meat and Chitin when harvested. It makes an easy meal as it is very slow and does not retaliate.

Taming Methods
To knock an Achatina out for taming, it is probably possible to do so using any of the available torpor-inducing means, from using your fists, to the Slingshot, to Tranquilliser Arrows.

As a herbivore, it would be expected that Achatina consumes berries.
Utility
One known use of Achatina is that it produces Cementing Paste, or at least something similar enough to it to be used as such. This would be extremely useful for players who are progressing to structures at the stone tier and above.
